Electronic Curriculum Development
Academic Computing has developed an extensive, web-based curriculum site for the presentation of Graduate, Medical and Physician Assistant materials.  The central point of this site for the student and faculty is the calendar, where all lecture notes, slides, reading documents, and audio files are present.
The standard for slides and presentations is currently Microsoft PowerPoint.  Slides are created with plain text or comprised of images scanned from 35mm slide originals. This material can simply be delivered to the Office of Academic Computing for integration into a lecture.
For lecture notes and readings, Academic Computing uses a combination of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.  Depending on the media and extent of the material, Academic Computing will use discretion on which application will best fit the need.
Presentations can also include digital video clips, digital audio clips, and customized animations. The development staff of Academic Computing can assist in preparing these materials.
Every lecture presentation is recorded digitally at the time of presentation, and these files are posted to the web server for review by the students.  This is a critical tool in the curriculum that has been very well received by the students as an important study aid.

How to Upload your Lectures to EWake
Academic Computing has developed a Web-based upload application which will allow you to upload, delete, or update files to your lectures on the eWake server (aka. the student server); however, you must be assigned as the instructor or course director to upload files to the lecture.
You can take advantage of this new feature by going to http://ewake.wfubmc.edu and logging in with your MEDCTR username and password. Then click on the link on the bottom left-hand corner of the page and a list of the lectures that you are assigned to instruct will appear. Next, click on the lecture that you wish to modify. You will proceed to a page that gives you the option of updating, deleting, or adding a new file. From there you can follow the directions on the pages themselves to complete the process.
You are also welcomed to contact Academic Computing if you would like us to assist you in posting any lecture materials.
