Personal Statement
I am an Assistant Professor and a member of both the Center for Cancer Genomics and the Center for Human Genomics at Wake Forest University Health Sciences. Also, I serve as a full-time member in the Program for Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology. Well trained in biostatistics, statistical genetics, and genetic epidemiology, I have applied my knowledge in genetic epidemiology to multiple prostate cancer genetic projects and have published over a dozen peer-reviewed papers in the last two years.
Research Interests
My research interests are prostate cancer and breast cancer genetic susceptibility and etiology. I am interested in understanding the influence of genetic risk factor in cancer etiology and prevention, particularly prostate cancer and breast cancer. I am currently conducting a genome-wide association study on prostate cancer. I am also interested in prediction of individual genetic risk of prostate cancer using genetic profiling.
