If you would like to study complex diseases with the latest technology, then the Center for Human Genomics may be the right place for you. We continue to build our research team by recruiting bright and energetic individuals. Current employment opportunities
Genetics of Diabetic Cardiovascular Disease Post Doctoral position to study the genetics of diabetes and diabetic complications beginning approximately December 2009.
Collaborate in NIH supported gene mapping, gene identification, and functional analysis of genes contributing to type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiovascular disease in an active group of over 20 laboratory scientists in the Center for Human Genomics (http://www1.wfubmc.edu/Genomics) and the Center for Diabetes Research (http://www1.wfubmc.edu/DiabetesResearch), a 19,000 sq.ft. facility with state-of-the-art high throughput technologies. The laboratory participates in extensive collaborative studies with an interdisciplinary group of molecular biologists, clinicians, epidemiologists, and statisticians. Background in molecular biology is essential.
Mammalian genetics background desirable, but not essential. Salary negotiable. Excellent communication skills are essential.
