Drs Ann Tallant and Peg Gallagher discovered Small Peptide Found to Stop Lung Cancer Tumor Growth in Mice


Carlos M. Ferrario, MD was awarded the 2009 Novartis Award for Hypertension Research, sponsored by the Council for High Blood Pressure Research. This award will be present during the 63rd High Blood Pressure Conference 2009 from September 23-26, 2009.

COSEHC has established the Carlos M. Ferrario, MD, COSEHC Founders Lectureship award to be presented at COSEHC’s annual scientific sessions. Carlos M. Ferrario, MD, will present a lecture entitled “50 Years of Progress in Understanding the Renin-Angiotension System” on October 23, 2009.

Dr. K. Bridget Brosnihan will receive an honorary degree and give the commencement talk at the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Nebraska on May 18, 2009.

The Hypertension Core Lab was certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment.

Debra I. Diz appointed as Interim Director of the Center effective January 1, 2009.

Therapeutic Advances in Cardiovascular Disease has been selected for indexing in MEDLINE.
