Dr. David Albertson received his MD degree from the University of Virginia in 1972. He completed his General Surgery residency training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in 1977 and spent a year at Boston University Medical Center with Dr Richard Egdahl training in Endocrine Surgery.
Dr. Albertson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Endocrinology. He is a Founding Member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and is a Fellow of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He was certified by The American Board of Surgery in 1978 and recertied in 1989, 1998, and 2007 (certification valid until 2020).
Dr. Albertson specializes in surgery of the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals and endocrine pancreas. |
