Current Research:

My interests include trauma/critical care and emergency general surgery.  I am in my fourth year of graduate school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and have an active laboratory.  My basic science research interests include the inflammatory response to injury, neutrophil activation and trafficking, and Toll-like Receptor-4.  Clinical research interests include pulmonary contusion, nosocomial pneumonia, and posttraumatic empyema.
