AHEC Digital Library Membership Application

The AHEC Digital Library is designed to be the first choice portal to the Internet for all North Carolina healthcare professionals. It includes full-text journals and textbooks; electronic databases such as MEDLINE and CINAHL; evidence-based medicine resources such as Cochrane, and other health links.

To apply for your password please complete and return this form. Your user name and password will be sent to you by email.

Any questions about resource access should be directed to Northwest AHEC Library Staff.

PLEASE NOTE: The access to the AHEC Digital Library is being provided via a subsidized payment from your hospital and NWAHEC. After years of providing unlimited licenses that went unused which cost your hospital and NWAHEC to waste resources, we are trying to best utilize our limited resources without detering appropriate use. Therefore we now have a limited number of licenses available. Therefore we ask that you request this license only if you have a need and are making a commitment to access these resources. Because of the medical publishing companies license agreements, each request results in a full license for one year. Short term access/licenses have been determined as against copyright law. Therefore we are happy to provide this resource if you are making a commitment to use this resource.
