Three Experts Join Neurology and Neurosurgery Faculty at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center

     WINSTON-SALEM – Cheryl D. Bushnell, M.D., has joined the faculty at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as an associate professor in neurology.
Bushnell’s clinical interests cerebrovascular disease (stroke), stroke risk in women and stroke prevention and risk factors.

     Bushnell is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has a specialty board certification in vascular neurology. She earned her medical degree at Medical College of Wisconsin and completed a residency at Duke University Medical Center.
     Megan B. Lovorn, M.D., has joined the faculty at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as an assistant professor in neurology (neurorehabiliation program).
     Lovorn’s clinical interests include spinal cord injury, neurological rehabilitation and cerebral palsy.
     She earned her medical degree and completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
     Daniel E. Couture, M.D., has joined the faculty at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as an assistant professor in neurosurgery.
     Couture’s clinical interests include trauma surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, craniofacial pediatric spine, cerebrovascular surgery, chiari malformation, neuroendoscopy, pediatric spine surgery and pediatric brain tumors.
     He earned his medical degree at University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed a residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and a fellowship at Primary Children’s Medical Center, Salt Lake City, Utah .
