Nursing Research Council

 

The Nursing Research Council promotes creative, innovative thinking leading to new nursing research ideas and projects that result in positive patient outcomes.

The Nursing Research Council activities include:

  • Increases educational component of nursing research and strengthens the use of the research process.
  • Provides consistency throughout the organization for nursing research including:
    • Advances use of Evidence Based Practice (EBP).
    • Supports link between EBP and research.
    • Facilitates support for IRB process.
    • Encourages professionalism.
    • Promotes recruitment and retention.
  • Develops a forum for creative, innovative thinking.
    • Generates new nursing research ideas and projects.
  • Mentors nurses to understand, evaluate, and conduct nursing research.
  • Increases collaboration among nurses throughout the organization and nationally on nursing research.
  • Increases visibility regionally and nationally of nursing research at WFUBMC.
