Welcome to the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Fit or Not Quiz.

About one-third of American adults are overweight or obese. Over 60% of adults do not engage in recommended amount of physical activity and 25% of adults are not active at all. This increases their risk for heart disease, diabetes and other chronic conditions. These risks can be reduced through diet and physical activity. To lose one pound of body weight per week you can:

  • eat 500 calories a day less, mostly by reducing dietary fat
  • or expend 500 calories per day more in physical activity
  • or best of all, do a combination of diet and activity
We've designed this program as a guide only. Please consult your physician or nutritionist for a full and accurate analysis of your nutritional status. To run the test simply input your personal data and click on 'Calculate'. After you are done be sure to also check out the Calculator of Additional Physical Activities!
