Camilla P. Hansen’s primary responsibilities are to assist in all aspects of the technology transfer process, including evaluating university inventions, conducting market research and assessing patentability. Camilla is also working with the Directors to manage new venture development and the integration of technology transfer in the research park environment.  

Camilla joined the Office of Technology Asset Management in September of 2009, after obtaining her Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her research focused on design, synthesis and characterization of new chemical entities for the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Camilla has also worked as a medicinal chemist in the pharmaceutical industry at H. Lundbeck A/S, Denmark, and Targacept Inc, North Carolina. Prior to getting her doctorate, Camilla worked as a pharmacist where she was supervising employees and was responsible for overall quality assurance and drug information. Camilla obtained her Master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Copenhagen in October of 2004.
