Jill Ohar, MD I am the mother of three children and I live in Clemmons with my youngest daughter and our two dogs. Before coming to Wake Forest University, I was on the faculty at Saint Louis University for 17 years where my son is a student. I was born and educated in Pennsylvania where my parents and brothers still live. I graduate from Muhlenberg College in 1973 and the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1977. I completed an internship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in critical care and pulmonary diseases at the Medical College of Virginia. I am board certified in both internal medicine and critical care medicine. I serve as the chief of clinical operations and precept the fellows clinics. I also spend about 1/3 of the year caring for patients in the intensive care unit. My clinical and research interests focus on inhalational diseases such as COPD (chronic bronchitis and emphysema) and asbestos related diseases such as mesothelioma and asbestosis.
