Rodolfo Pascual, MD

I was born in Ohio but raised in the Philadelphia suburbs in New Jersey. I moved here in June, 2003 with my wife and three sons. My wife Lauren is a license Physical Therapist. I am a faculty member of the Section on Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and my appointment is as an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine.
I received my medical degree cum laude in 1994 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA. I completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine and then served as Chief Medical Resident all at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. I then completed
subspecialty training as a fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Thomas Jefferson, University Hospital. After completing my training, I was appointment to the faculty of Jefferson Medical College in 2002. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine (since 1997), Pulmonary Medicine (since 2000), and Critical Care Medicine (since 2001).
My areas of both clinical and research interest include the airway diseases COPD, asthma and rhinitis. I also have a clinical interest in interstitial lung disease. I spend much of my time in a basic science laboratory and am fostering a career in translational research. I am also active with the medical school teaching medical students, residents and fellows. We are active in our church and I have been active coaching youth sports. We spend our free time traveling and visiting our far-flung family and friends.
