Wendy Moore, MD

In 1986, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with a BA in Biology and pursued a graduate degree in Immunology from The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. I received my MD degree in 1991 from the University of Maryland where I went on to do my residency and fellowship training. In 1995, I was a visiting research fellow at the University of Southampton in England. I am board certified in medicine, pulmonary & critical care medicine.
I joined the faculty in Pulmonary/Critical Care at Wake Forest in 2000. My clinical interests include asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary fibrosis, and scleroderma. Among my research interests are the genetics of allergy and asthma, clinical characterization of allergy and asthma, pathogenesis of asthma, airways hyperresponsiveness and bronchial inflammation, therapeutic interventions in asthma, diagnosis, pathogenesis and therapy of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
My outside interests include being with my husband and son.
