Residency

Thank you for requesting information on the Urology Residency Program at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Our Urology program consists of 6 years of surgical training (1 year non-accredited research, 1 year of pre-urology and 4 years of Urology), which provides a broad experience in clinical urology. Academic and scholarly pursuits including clinical research are also emphasized.

The following section of our web site details house officer programs at our institution and information on the AUA Residency Matching Program for Urology. Our AUA Residency Matching Number is 00923374.

Candidates must apply to the Urology Residency program using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). In order to be complete, your application packet must include your ERAS common application form, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, USMLE and your medical school transcript. Foreign medical graduates must have passed the E.C.F.M.G. and U.S.M.L.E. exams. We accept the J-1 visa or green card.

Please select the Categorical program tract. The deadline for submission of applications is October 1, 2009. Applications will be screened in September and October. Interviews will be scheduled in November and December. If you have any questions concerning our Residency Program or the application process, please call 336-716-5702 and ask for Denise Wolfe (dewolfe@wfubmc.edu).
