Volunteer Interns:

Volunteer Services does not arrange internships or job shadowing experiences; however, if you have a contact at WFUBMC who has agreed to take you as an intern, you may be routed through Volunteer Services for orientation and recording of your internship hours.  In order to go through Volunteer Services for your internship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least a high school senior or college student currently enrolled in an accredited academic program.
  • You must be able to commit a minimum of 40 hours to your internship per semester.
  • You must have your Medical Center contact call Volunteer Services to verify your internship.
  • You must attend Volunteer Orientation prior to starting your internship. (See orientation dates listed at http://www1.wfubmc.edu/Volunteer/Orientation+Dates.htm)
  • You must provide current TB skin test results (within three months) and immunization records to Employee Health after completing Volunteer Orientation.

If you have any questions regarding an internship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, please contact the Volunteer Office.
