It gives us great pleasure to announce that Dr. Doug Ririe has completed his requirements for his Ph.D. degree and successfully defended his thesis, first with a public lecture and then in private defense with his committee. We extend a warm expression of congratulations on a body of work well accomplished! This is a credit to all that were involved and the entire department. For an interesting synopsis of Dr. Ririe’s work, see this month’s Anesthesiology October 2008, pages 698-706, Comparison of the Immediate Effects of Surgical Incision on Dorsal Horn Neuronal Receptive Field Size and Responses during Postnatal Development. |
