Current Research:  My current project focuses on studying a polycomb group protein called Enhancer of Zeste homolog 2 (Ezh2).  Ezh2 is upregulated in prostate cancer, and we are performing in vivo studies to determine whether Ezh2 is essential and/or sufficient to promote prostate tumor formation.  In addition, we have identified a microRNA (miRNA) that targets Ezh2 and we are planning to study whether this miRNA and the miRNA-mediated Ezh2 expression can affect prostate tumorigenesis.
