Prevention & Detection

Prevention and early detection are integral elements of the Comprehensive Cancer Center's clinical and research programs. Studies concerning risk factors associated with diet, environment, smoking, hormones and genetic factors are aimed at giving people who are at risk for cancer options to reduce that risk. By following guidelines for diet and lifestyle choices; getting routine cancer screenings and checkups; and being alert for warning signs outcomes for this disease are steadily improving.
