Stephen S. McNatt, M.D. joined the Department of General Surgery in August 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the specialty of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.  After completing his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas in 1990, he earned his medical degree in 1994 from The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). He completed his residency with the Emory University Affiliated Surgery Program in 1999. Dr. McNatt completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery with the Advanced Endosurgery Clinical Training Program, Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in 2000. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  His special areas of interest are hernia, GERD, weight loss surgery, minimally invasive techniques for gastrointestinal surgery, and surgical simulation.

 

Dr. McNatt’s wife is Marissa Howard-McNatt, MD, FACS, a member of the section of Surgical Oncology.
