The Cardiovascular Imaging Center at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center combines the expertise of cardiologists and radiologists to detect and diagnose heart disease more accurately.with faster scans that provide clearer images of the heart and cardiovascular structures. The Cardiovascular Imaging Center opened in the fall of 2006. In this cooperative joint effort Cardiology and Radiology have worked to provide one central location where both in-patients and out-patients can receive state-of-the art Cardiac MRI and CT angiography services. In addition, the Imaging Center provides the unique opportunity for all cardiovascular imaging to be viewed and interpreted in the adjacent physician reading room.
