Section on Lipid Sciences

Congratulations and Welcome!

J. Mark Brown, PhD, has joined our faculty as an Instructor in Pathology (Lipid Sciences), and Ryan E. Temel, PhD, has been promoted to Assistant Professor.

Dr. Lawrence Rudel is the head of the Department of Pathology's Section on Lipid Sciences. Along with their research activities, the eight members of the section's faculty administer the Transgenic Mouse Core Facility, the PhD in Molecular Pathology, and the Integrative Lipid Sciences, Inflammation, and Chronic Diseases Training Program. Opportunities for Summer Research are also available.

Lipid Sciences is located in the new Richard H. Dean Biomedical Research Building in the Piedmont Triad Research Park. The combination of state-of-the-art facilities with proximity to other investigators provides a rich environment for collaborative research.
