E-LEARNING OPTIONS FOR ACLS & BLS
BEWARE OF SCAMS! There are several websites that offer "online BLS and ACLS" courses. However, the American Heart Association DOES NOT recognize any On-Line BLS or ACLS courses except those they created. Please contact us before purchasing
any online ACLS or BLS product.
BLS On-Line - $50.00:
E-learning provides an alternative to the classroom and & encourages renewal of credentials. This interactive, scenario-based format allows participants to complete Part I of the Renewal course online-then receive a certificate to finish the course with hands-on skills test (Part II) supervised by a local AHA certified instructor. A course card is issued when Parts I & II are successfully completed.
Step 1: The student will contact Life Support Education at 716-2800
to register and pay for the class.
Step 2: The student will access and complete the didactic portion of the
BLS course On-Line
Step 3: The student will schedule the BLS skills testing in Life Support
Education. The skills testing must be completed within 60 days
after completion of the online didactic portion.
BLS On-Line Skills testing will be completed in Life Support Education located on the 3rd floor of the South Building beginning at 9:00 am on the following dates:

ACLS On-Line - $170.00:
This CD-based learning program provides an alternative to traditional classroom instruction. It uses a simplified, user-friendly design & microsimulation technology to present realistic scenarios from the ACLS core courses. After successful completion of the CD component, students are required to take a skills test with an AHA-certified ACLS instructor, and then receive the Provider card. Heartcode™ ACLS Anywhere is approved by the AACN, ACCME, ACPE & CECBEMS for CME/CEH/CE credits.
Step 1: The student will contact Life Support Educationat 716-2800
to register and pay for the class.
Step 2: The student will access and complete the didactic portion of
the ACLS course On-Line
Step 3: The student will schedule the ACLS skills testing in Life
Support Education. The skills testing must be completed
within 60 days after completion of the online didactic portion.
v Proof of completion of an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider course required for ACLS Courses.
v Each student must present an official American Heart Association certificate of completion from the online course before performing the skills testing.
v Should remediation of skills be necessary, that student will be referred to an appropriate Training Site to complete a required course for content.
v ACLS On-Line Skills testing will be completed in Life Support Education located on the 3rd floor of the South Building beginning at 10:00 am on the following dates:
