My area of research focuses on the molecular genetics of complex diseases. As the leader of the Center for Human Genomics core sequencing facility, my lab's primary responsibility is to execute large scale sequencing projects to analyze regions of the human genome that contain known or unknown disease genes and to identify polymorphisms in potential candidate genes associated with complex diseases. The two primary areas of research in my lab are asthma and prostate cancer.
