Fellowship Training

Neurorehabilitation
Director:  H. Michael Guo, MD, PhD

We offer one or two year fellowships in neurorehabilitation, the clinical science of guiding and sustaining the rehabilitation of patients with neurological and musculoskeletal injuries or diseases.  Fellows participate in the care of inpatients and outpatients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and neuromuscular disorders.  Our training program includes weekly teaching conference provided by our attending physicians and the outside speakers.  The fellows will have opportunities to take electives interventional pain management, electrodiagnostic studies, pediatric neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, etc. Inpatients are treated in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital at the Sticht Center.  Outpatient training includes spasticity management with botulinum toxin injection or intrathecal baclofen pumps, fluoroscopically guided spine injections and denervation, spinal cord injury clinic, musculoskeletal clinic, etc.   Fellows have opportunities of participating ongoing studies in both the Neurorehabilitation and Neurology sections. Please contact us for detailed program description.
