Residency Competencies

The residency program is designed to teach competence in six general areas.

Each year, the resident must:

  1. Review the general competencies for their year.
  2. Review the goal and objectives for each rotation.
  3. Review the Intranet Common Curriculum for their year.
  4. Collect a portfolio throughout the year:
    • Materials from meetings attended
    • Copies of talks given
    • Completed Intranet Common Curriculum (title, date, & test)
  5. Write and submit one scientific publication per year.
  6. Complete the Chart Stimulated Recall each block.
  7. Complete procedures check offs.
  8. Fill out rotation block evaluations and return the administrative secretary.
