J. Paul Sticht Center
The J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation, directed by Stephen Kritchevsky, Ph.D., was founded in 1987 to coordinate the aging programs of the WFUSM and North Carolina Baptist Hospital. In response to the growth and success of the Aging Center Programs, the Medical Center built the J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation with a $40 million investment (#24 on campus map).
This four-story, 150,000 square foot building houses geriatric outpatient services, geriatric psychiatry, geriatric rehabilitation and Transitional Care Unit, the Acute Care for the Elderly unit, administrative and faculty offices, several conference rooms, the Roena Kulynych Dementia Research Center, the Geriatric Research Center, and a Geriatric General Clinical Research Center.
