Why WFUBMC:

I began my residency search looking at programs all over the country that also offered reputable PGY2 oncology specialty programs, so WFUBMC quickly made the short list for that reason.  As a lifelong Georgia resident, part of me wanted to travel far from home to try out life in a different part of the country, but when I came to Baptist to interview, the clinical coordinators and residents here were so utterly welcoming and the program so flexible that staying in the southeast started to sound very promising after all.  I loved the fact that I could explore so many different rotations during my PGY1 year, with Drug Information being the only requirement, and it was obvious that the preceptors were interested in residents’ personal and professional development.  I was thrilled to match with Wake and I know that this year will provide great preparation for my specialty training and career.
