Beth Steinbeck Williams is Director of Pharmacy at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Within the health system, Williams leads the acute care division of the corporate Department of Pharmacy. Williams’ primary areas of interest include patient safety, quality improvement, medication adherence and continuity of care. She earned both her Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a pharmacy practice residency at WFUBMC.
In addition to her leadership responsibilities within the medical center, Williams serves in numerous leadership roles within the profession. In addition to memberships in ASHP and APhA, she is an active and founding member of the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP), currently serving as President. Prior to that, her service to the association included member of the Board of Directors (2003-2006), Professional Relations Council (2001-2002), and Membership & Marketing Council (Co-chair 1997-1999, Chair 1999-2000). In addition, Williams is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Pharmacists’ Recovery Network (NCPRN), the Campbell University School of Pharmacy Board of Advisors, and the Pharmacy Practice Advancement Committee of the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) Pharmacy Council.
