Out of the Darkness Walk to be held on Sept 12, 2009

On Saturday, September 12, 2009, the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry will sponsor a team of walkers in the Out of the Darkness event, to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Friends and family (dogs included) are invited to participate at Tanglewood Park. Registration is at 8:00 am and the 5K walk starts at 9:00 am.

The 2008 event was a huge success! In our third year of participation, we exceeded our goal for a total of $2130! For the Forsyth County area, more than $14,000 was raised, to help increase awareness, enhance preventive education and research suicide.
