The goals of TRADONC are to:
· Broaden the research infrastructure of translational radiation researchers by increasing the number of well-trained basic scientists and physicists exposed to the clinical practice of radiation oncology.
· Develop a cadre of clinical radiation oncologists and cancer specialists who are proficient in hypothesis-driven basic research as well as the design and implementation of clinical trials.
· Provide a common base of scientific, technical and medical knowledge and research experience so that basic scientists, physicists, and radiation oncologists can communicate and interact efficiently and effectively as members of a multidisciplinary radiation oncology research team. |
