Treatment Planning System Quality Assurance Program

Treatment planning system quality assurance in the age of advanced, imaged based, computer controlled treatment implementation is essential. Our original TPS QA program is outlined in the paper entitled “Quality Assurance: Fundamental reproducibility tests for 3D treatment-planning systems.” The program presented is based on the guidelines provided by AAPM Task Group 53 – Quality Assurance for Clinical Radiotherapy Treatment Planning and IAEA Technical Report Series 430 – Commissioning and Quality Assurance of Computerized Planning Systems for Radiation Treatment of Cancer.
The links on the right are the documents which constitute our TPS QA program. Procedures and forms are catalogued for your review and downloading to use in your treatment planning QA program.
