A native of Burlington, North Carolina, Tim graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Parks and Recreation Conservation (Therapeutic Recreation Emphasis). He has 19 years of experience in the field including the last ten at WFUBMC. He also has experience working in adolescent/adult psychiatry, rehab and with the MR population.
Tim is certified in RT by the state of North Carolina (TRS) and at the national level (CTRS).
He has been a blood drive coordinator as well as teaching "Managing Aggressive Behavior" at WFUBMC. He recently became a certified trainer from the Crisis Prevention Institute, which stresses non-violent intervention methods. Tim was also a previous ropes course coordinator.
A loyal ECU alumni, Tim closely follows the Pirates during football season. He enjoys working out, swimming, coaching youth basketball and yard work.
