Cindy Mahan, CCLS

Cindy had always wanted to work with children, but did not express a desire to become a school teacher. "The Child Life field was a relatively new concept when I heard about it from a friend who told me of this new area of working with children in a hospital. I was fortunate to become involved with it during its early stages of development as a profession."
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Cindy graduated from University of North Carolina -Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Recreation. She has been involved in pediatrics for over 22 years, all at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Cindy is a member of the Child Life Council and a professionally Certified Child Life Specialist. She is on the Ronald McDonald House Board Ex-officio of Directors and Friends of WFUBMC Board Ex-officio.
Cindy's hobbies are currently on hold while raising her two children, ages 5 and 3.
