J. Paul Sticht Center on Aging and Rehabilitation

The Center on Aging is devoted to learning more about aging and applying that knowledge in improved care for the elderly. The Center's clinical programs have a preventive and restorative emphasis, focusing on patients with potential for rehabilitation. The Center offers geriatric rehabilitation services and a multidisciplinary program specializing in evaluation of patients with disorders of memory and behavior. A subacute care unit serves as a link between hospital and home, helping to reduce rates of rehospitalization and premature placement in nursing homes.
