Case Management in the Trauma Center is handled by nurses experienced in the care of trauma patients and understands their needs. They understand the overall structure of the health care industry, possess highly-developed critical thinking skills, and have a well-rounded understanding of the risks and benefits of all health care decisions. Their role is to educate the patient and family about discharge planning, home care needs and coordination of this plan with the appropriate services.
