The Emergency Department at the Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility that treats approximately 65,000 patients a year. The present facility was built in 1996 and features 15 acute care beds, a separate 7-bed pediatric emergency area, and a fast track area. The Department has a CT scanner, a 3-room radiology suite, a decontamination area, and a 24-hour pharmacy.
