The Trauma Intensive Care Unit is an 11-bed unit that specializes in the acute resuscitation of critically-injured patients. This population includes those with severe internal, orthopedic, and neurologic injuries. The staff utilizes cutting-edge technology, such as hemodynamic and intracranial pressure monitoring and mechanical ventilation, in the care of these patients. Care is delivered with a multidisciplinary approach that includes respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, dieticians, social workers, and chaplains to provide positive patient outcomes.
