North Carolina Baptist Hospital
North Carolina Baptist Hospital (NCBH) had 34,589 inpatient admissions and 19,606 day hospital stays in FY 2007. It has a full-time medical staff of 688, all of whom are faculty members of Wake Forest University School of Medicine, 589 residents, and more than 2,000 nurses.
The hospital has its own nurse anesthesia and medical technology teaching program and is the clinical site for eight programs of Forsyth Technical Community College.
The hospital’s Division of Pastoral Care operates an educational program for clergy and laypersons, works closely with the state’s Baptist churches, provides the staff for the CareNet, Inc. pastoral counseling centers, works with individual churches to help them identify their own goals and objectives, and counsels individual ministers who need support.
