 “Cardiovascular Health and
Disease in Women”

Overview and Background

One of the missions of the WHCOE is to educate students, health care providers, and the public on issues in women’s health and to disseminate research findings on women’s health to health care professionals, research scientists, and the community at large.  Women’s Health Research Day is one of the ways we achieve this mission, by showcasing the achievements of investigators in this area.  This year, we seek to stimulate integrative discussion and cross-disciplinary collaboration to promote translational research in women’s health as it relates to cardiovascular health & disease.

Agenda

Keynote speaker: Lori Mosca, MD, MPH, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Director of Preventive Cardiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center (http://lorimosca.org/).
