The AAMC is accepting applications for the Executive Development Seminar for Associate Deans and Department Chairs, scheduled for October 9-13, 2009, at the Lago Mar Resort, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Interactive sessions address strategic organizational thinking and planning, legal issues, institutional and department finance, negotiation skills, and media communications. Deans of regional medical centers and research center directors who have senior leadership positions comparable to department chairs are also invited to apply.
