Promoting Healthy Birth Outcomes - Translating Research into Best Practices to Promote Preconception Health and Prevent Preterm Birth.
October 27-28, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
This conference will bring together clinical, social, programmatic, epidemiological and policy experts at the national, state, and local levels to present best practices, promising new interventions, community engagement models, and policy interventions to improve healthy birth outcomes, and methods to address racial and ethnic disparities that affect birth outcomes. Conference attendees will better understand the link between prematurity and birth defects, why improved preconception and interconception care programs must be implemented in the community, and the major factors leading to healthy birth outcomes.
