     1. Elected or Appointed to a National Board

     2. Elected or Appointed to a Peer-Reviewed Journal Editorial Board

     3. Elected to a Professional Society Officer Position

     4. Elected or Appointed to a Community Advisory Board (i.e. on the board of the Winston Salem Symphony)

     5. Principal Investigator on a grant (please include title, funding agency and year funded)

Or, if you:

1. Served as a Study Section Chair

2. Are a NIH Study Section Charter Member (with section name) (new category this year)

3. Served on a National Panel or Task Force

4. Received a National, Local or Civic Award

Please email your accomplishments with a brief description and date of receipt, to the WHCoE at whcoe@wfubmc.edu, by October 1, 2009.  The booklet of all the achievements will be shared with the Dean, Section Heads, as well as the Department Chairs of the women listed, with a cover memo detailing the names of the women in their department

Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) have launched the Congressional Visit Toolbox, "an online resource aimed at empowering, training, and equipping scientists to build relationships with their elected representatives in Congress. The Toolbox contains everything needed to plan and conduct a Congressional visit, including templates for meeting requests and follow-up letters, printable, state-specific 'leave-behind' materials, and customizable talking points on the importance of biomedical research.
